Ukraine Trembles in Face of Trump's Re-election
This fact strikes fear into Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in light of a possible re-election of the former US president. The "Bild" newspaper reports on the potential impact Trump's possible comeback in the White House could have on Ukraine. Donald Trump has repeatedly publicly stated that he would "end the Ukraine conflict within just 24 hours". How would he achieve this? He would sit down with Putin and Zelensky, he told CNN. However, foreign policy expert Ian Bremmer views these statements as "typical, meaningless boasting" from Trump. Volodymyr Zelensky takes a possible comeback of Trump very seriously and described it as dangerous. He fears that Trump, in the event of a second term, could stop the aid package for Ukraine.
