Mourning for US series star! Following his mysterious death, the circumstances now appear to have been clarified! The popular actor passed away at the young age of 38. The exact circumstances of his death were unknown to the public for a long time. Now, the brother of the "Good Time" star has revealed the true cause of death.
According to his brother Christopher Stathis, Duress' drug abuse ultimately led to his death. Duress, who starred alongside Twilight's Robert Pattinson in "Good Time," passed away in November 2023 due to a "heart attack caused by a drug cocktail," as Stathis recently revealed to "People." The actor, born in Queens, New York, in 1985, made his acting debut in 2014 in the film "Heaven Knows What" by Josh and Benny Safdie. He landed the role shortly after his release from a New York prison for drug offenses. At the time, Duress was on the run after failing to attend a residential drug program. In a 2017 interview with "SSense," Duress reflected, "I still think about it: If I had participated in that program, I wouldn't have starred in 'Heaven Knows What' and probably wouldn't be an actor now."
