On Monday, a Russian missile attack on Kiev severely damaged one of the country's largest children's hospitals. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that 16 people were injured in the attack, including seven children. Two people died as a result of the attack. UN human rights expert Danielle Bell described the incident as "one of the most outrageous attacks" since the start of the invasion. In response, German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach assured his Ukrainian counterpart, Viktor Lyashko, of his support. Lauterbach stated that Germany is ready to accept sick children from Ukraine at any time. Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksiy Makayev thanked Lauterbach for the "active solidarity and compassionate humanity."
