Due to Donald Trump's Election - Americans Highly Interested in Emigration

Following Donald Trump's re-election as the 47th President of the USA, many Americans have expressed a desire to leave the country. According to the New York Post, Google searches for emigration options have increased by a hefty 1,514 percent since his election victory on November 6th, as reported by VisaGuide.World. Between election day and the following Wednesday, "immigration" websites saw a 338 percent increase in search traffic. The interest in the United Kingdom and Ireland was particularly strong, with searches increasing by 375 and 355 percent, respectively.

Germany Also Plays a Significant Role as a Destination for Emigrants

According to Germany-Visa.org, interest in immigration pages increased by 336 percent. The "Opportunity Card," which allows non-EU citizens to live in Germany for up to a year, was particularly frequently searched for. The term "moving from the USA to Germany" was searched 42 times more frequently than usual. The federal government introduced the "Opportunity Card" in the summer to attract highly qualified professionals from abroad. However, despite the high demand for skilled workers - it is expected that seven million workers will need to be replaced by 2035 - only about 2,360 applications had been submitted by October, instead of the projected 10,000.
