Fateful Minutes Following Game Cancellation
The tragedy unfolded when, alongside Meza, goalkeeper Juan Chocca Llacta was also struck by lightning. While Meza died instantly, Llacta survived with severe injuries and is now receiving medical treatment. Three additional people, Cristian Cesar Pituy Cahuana, Erick Estiven Ccente Cuyllor, and Josep Gustavo Pariona Chocca, were also injured and were taken to a hospital.
