Russia has recently only made small territorial gains in Kursk. Ukrainian counter-offensives and drone attacks on Russian infrastructure are hindering its advance. Nevertheless, Russia relies on its numerical superiority and accepts high losses to make progress - especially in rural regions of Ukraine, where defense lines are often weak due to staff shortages.
