Hyundai leaves no stone unturned with the Ioniq 9 – at least when it comes to technical equipment. A large infotainment display, head-up display, 360-degree camera, and a whole array of assistance systems are intended to make driving safer and more comfortable. But the question arises: Do you really need so many digital features? Not every driver will be pleased with the abundance of touchscreens and sensors. Hyundai clearly focuses on high-tech - but perhaps sometimes less is more.

Market Launch & Price: Luxury Comes at a Price

The Ioniq 9 is expected to be available in Europe in 2025, but the exact price remains a secret. Experts predict a starting price of around 74,000 euros - a sum that catapults the Hyundai into the league of premium SUVs. It remains to be seen whether buyers are prepared to pay this price for a Hyundai. After all, the Ioniq 9 competes with strong rivals such as the BMW iX or the Mercedes EQS SUV.

Electric Revolution or Expensive Experiment?

With the Ioniq 9, Hyundai is bringing an electric SUV to the road, which wants to set standards in terms of space, range (up to 620 km), and technology. But the high price and the idiosyncratic design could deter potential buyers. It also remains to be seen whether the full digital equipment actually provides added value - or whether it overburdens some drivers. Whether the Hyundai Ioniq 9 becomes a real game-changer or just a bold bet on the future will only become clear after its market launch. One thing is certain, however: The electric SUV is already a hot topic of conversation!
