As reported by the Westhessen Police Headquarters, the incident took place around 3:30 pm. The teenagers had entered the shopping centre with the suspected weapon, which led to the building being evacuated and cordoned off by the state and federal police force. Police, partially armed with submachine guns, arrested six individuals as suspects: four teenagers aged between 14 and 16 years, and two men aged 18 and 20. Among them was the alleged main suspect, a 14-year-old boy from Wiesbaden. The police seized a soft-air gun from him, which looked deceptively like a real gun. "Visually, the weapon was indistinguishable from a real gun," a police spokesperson explained.
