A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded on the breathtaking west coast of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. Near the renowned natural pools of Los Gigantes, a sudden and massive wave swept four people into the ocean, resulting in their untimely deaths. There’s still hope for one individual who remains unaccounted for.

The incident, which occurred shortly after 4 PM, caught numerous visitors off guard while they enjoyed the rocks and waters. In a blink, a colossal wave crashed down upon them, taking several into the depths below. Emergency services reported that multiple visitors were swept away by the overwhelming force of nature.

According to reports, among the affected were both local and foreign tourists. A maritime rescue helicopter was able to recover one individual alive, while sadly, another was found deceased. Initially, officials confirmed the deaths of two men and one woman, aged 35 and 55, respectively. Tragically, another woman was also confirmed dead after being transported to the hospital in critical condition.
